How we’re paid

Affiliate disclosure

taxloss.co.uk is free to use. It’s paid for by affiliate links: if you buy something after following one of them, we may earn a small commission — at no extra cost to you.

Amazon

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. The links in our shop (and any other link that says it goes to Amazon) are Amazon.co.uk links that carry our Associates tag. Most go to Amazon search results rather than a single product, so you can compare current versions and prices on Amazon. We don’t show Amazon prices, ratings or product photos on this site because they change; Amazon’s own page is always the place to check them.

Other affiliate links

From time to time we may link to other services — for example tax return software or accountancy services — using affiliate links. Any such link is marked as sponsored in the page code, and this page explains the arrangement.

Banner ads

Some pages also carry banner ads from 5od, a small ad service run by the owner of this site. They’re for shops and brands in the Awin affiliate network, and they’re chosen to suit the page, not you. Each one is labelled “Ad”. If you buy something after clicking one, we may earn a commission. Ads only load if you accept ads cookies; see how ads and cookies work here.

What affiliate links don’t change

Affiliate links never change what our guides say about tax rules. The guides are based on HMRC’s guidance and the law; we don’t accept payment to include, exclude or rank anything, and the help organisations we list (HMRC, tax charities and professional bodies) pay us nothing.
